If I could interview any two persons in the world I would have to go with the Mark Cuban and Bill Gates. I believe both of these men have excellent knowledge. They both have managed to live a
successful life. I admire both men for carrying their lives in such manner. Mark Cuban is the owner of the basketball team Dallas Mavericks, Landmark Theatres, Magnolia Pictures, chairman of HDTV cable network, and part-time investor of the television series Shark Tank. Mark Cuban, I believe is a man that runs his business very well and has had great success! Bill Gates is a business magnate, investor, philanthropist, author, former CEO, and chairman of Microsoft. As for Bill Gates he has also had a very well prosperity, and triumph throughtout his career! Both of these men have had great progress and I admire both for such achievements!
Twenty years from now I would like to be working in the business field, as either an economist, investor, or accountant. I would like to be in my own office and be my own boss, have a nice house and a big family. I believe Mark Cuban and Bill Gates would be the perfect ones to interview, they both have the knowledge that is necessary for the questions I would want to ask. Some of the questions I would have for them would be how did they reach such success in managing the business so well? How do you manage a business without letting it fraud? What is the first step you have to take to manage to be where you are today? How does it feel to have so much to handle at the same time? Is it frustrating to to know there is a lot of competition out there? Is it hard to handle a business alone? I know most of these questions would be very beneficial to be answered by both men to me. They would help me decide where in the business field I would succeed the most! I also believe they have enough experience to know the secrets in businesses today, which would be a great help. It would motivate me to become a great achiever and be successful in my future. Most business majors are very competitive and require for one to know a lot of knowledge that I believe these men carry among theirseves. Managing to get these questions answered would lead me to retain not only important information but also beneficial.
In todays society we don't see many women handling businesses, it's a pretty tough career were most men run. Both Gates and Cuban today remain to be in the top business men among others. They have great capacity to handle their job the right way, eventhough it gets complicated they know what they're doing. I consider both to be a great example to pople wanting to major in the business field. They show great leadership to the community and set an example to others. They're positions inspire others to want to succeed in life as well, and it's not impossible. For me they show great inspiration and motivate me to become someone with great possesion in my future, and I know it would be to my advantage to be able to interview them and see from what perspective they come from.

Reflection #5 Freakonomics
The common theme in most of the experiments showed in this film would be to prove theories. Ideas would be stated and then experiments would be made. After these experiments most theories would be proven or unproven, questions were answered, and advice was given at the end. Most theories were correct, and others would have to be questioned.
The approach of the researchers compare to our discussions of Liberal Arts education by showing the same perspective. If we focus and learn what we already have learned we will stay well-rounded. Also it's important to store valuable information various of times if needed. The film also showed that the purpose of college is very important, the more we study the more knowledge we retain. The film showed very interesting experiments, I was surprised by the result of most them. Especially in the experiment of the names, many people like to stereotype by a persons name. A persons name can take effect in a persons life on a daily basis due to stereotyping but as a conclusion ones name certainly cannot predict their future or success in life. I also was surprised by how children can be bribed by their parents into doing something they don't want to do. I thought it was pretty funny how they start listening once they get what they want. It's surprising how it works! The results for the experiment on freshmens in high school was quite interesting, I believe bribery should be used more often to motivate students to try their hardest in their education.
Overall I believe the researchers did a great job in putting this film together. The information presented was fair and reasonable in todays society. The ideas were clever and showed effect on possibilities we could take today. Bribery was one, and it showed that it can take a great effect on children and students. The showing of corruption as well, corruption is found almost everywhere and we don't even notice. The documentary Freakonomics was very broad with the ideas made and I believe it was very beneficial to others.

Reflection #2 Learning Styles
I always thought of myself as a visual learner, it turned out to be i was multimodal, which means I have strong preferences for more than one way of learning. I also ended up being kinesthetic as well, which means I can learn by live experiences and examples brought up to me, and I realized this was true.
As I grew up learning, various of things were taught to me in a visual, aural, reading, and writing way. I had trouble listening and focusing on what the teacher would say, so I figured aural learning wasn't the best way for me to learn. Aural learning has never worked so good for me, as of today I still doodle around class and loose focus very easily. Reading and writing learning has somehow improved my way of learning this year, having to read on my own for many of my classes has taught me to focus more and understand my reading better. For the writing part, I don't feel strong in that section because handouts aren't so good for me to understand the concept. As for visual learning I had strong preferences for, I believe if things are shown to me visually ill get the picture and understanding in a better way. Most of the time ill remember pictures and what they mean, and that gets me through most of my studying. The strongest way of learning for me was kinesthetic learning and I believe it's right. I always tend to make higher grades when leaning from a live experience. I get better understanding when a test or assignment is shown to me before the actual thing, because then ill know what the real thing will be like and what is expected to be known. Such as labs, they show me in a real way what everthing is about and how it happened, and I believe this way of learning is my strongest.
Overall, the method VARK showed me the methods of learning, and importance it carries. It also helps alot to know your strongest side of learning because that way you realize your strengths and weaknesses. Now I understand the learning styles better and take all of its information in consideration, they are very beneficial.

Reflection #1: The Social Network
This film relates to my current situation in college because now and days teenagers get influenced by peer pressure to do things that aren't right, such as partying, drinking, smoking, and doing drugs. Many students believe doing these things will make you "fit in." I believe many also think that's just the college life, and if you don't do any of these things you aren't "cool." This film also showed that peer pressure and deceit are what you mostly confront yourself during your college years, and this is what sometimes makes us commit mistakes, but i also think that makes us learn our lessons on a daily basis. I believe the filmmakers showed that friendship can also be betrayal, and dishonest when someone is jealous of one another. It causes the other person to react and commit something against the other person because of anger as well. Another thing they showed was the importance of life choices and how they can affect your life, such as when Mark decided to publish the website behind his friends back and didin't care about what he was going to go through. It was a decision he had make that caused alot him alot of trouble. As for their ethics, many had different perspectives on their decisions and actions, the film presented many of their ethics as strong and fair, such as the Winklevosse's believed it was unfair what Mark had done they believed justice should be done, and Eduardo also believed the right thing should be done the fair way.
Eventhough all the characters in the film had their reason to be the way they were they all deserved justice. It was tough deciding who I would empathize the most since they all had their good side as well. I would have to say I empathized eduardo the most! Eduardo was a great friend in the movie and he ended up getting betrayed. He was fair at all times and I believe he didin't deserve getting backstabbed by Mark and he was always there for him. He had also put effort into making Facebook work the way it should and it wasn't right how they played him at the end. He did have the right to fight for what was his in this case it wasn't fair what they had done to him. Mark was a good friend too, but wasn't considerate when it came to lowering the percentage of Eduardos' part. He also didin't give him the amount of attention needed in this case he replaced him with Sean.
In the end I feel Mark Zuckerberg was a hero to many teenagers in that time. Today he is a hero for mostly everyone worldwide. His network was a success! It has provided multiple choices to connect with people around the world. I think Mark wasn't a bad person, he was just dedicated to creating something no one would ever think of, and he knew he was capable of creating it! He basically got carried away by everything, and was motivated by an idea that someone brought to his head. By him stealing an idea from another person doesn't make him a villian because he didin't necessarly commit a crime, he just decided to come up with a network that would help communicate students in an easier way. Today he is greatly recognized, and for me i believe he was a hero in creating that brilliant site. Now i can keep in contact with most of my family outside the U.S, and meet new people from around the world!
