Reflection #Diversity

Diversity is found among many places around the world. It is based on a variety of cultures mixed together. In the film X men, diversity was shown among the characters. Each character has the ability to do something different, diversity doesn't always depend on the different cultures but just on the differences certain individuals carry. The power each character carries represents their particular character. They each define themselves by helping each other out. As represented in the film not everyone accepts the way they are made, especially the people we are surrounded by. Diversity consists of a variety of differences among individuals and not everyone accepts the way other individuals look or are. As shown in the film the blue girl wasn't very happy over her blue side, hank apparently showed it wasn't attractive-looking for him but in the other hand Erik thought that quality made her for whom she was. Hank as well wasn't satisfied with his appearance, he believed it wasn't accepting to society so he would hide it by not taking his shoes off. Unfortunately he tries to change his appearance by a formula he makes, which makes things worse. He also tries to convince the blue girl to change her appearance as well, but Erik helps her to accept herself for who she is.

Through the film many conflicts were faced due to the differences found among one another. A group of diverse individuals will always face conflicts because everyone thinks different and has different beliefs and qualities. This reflects a lot on today's society which is full of diversity, each individual carries his or her values, and that's where it gets hard to agree. Among the film each character tries to help each other out to overcome conflicts, such as Charles he tries to help Erik forget about all the negative and bad things that have happened throughout his life. Erik seeks revenge and Charles believes that will not get him anywhere. At the end they each go their own way due to the differences in opinions but that's just a part of diversity.
